The end of summer

Where did the summer go?

It was my birthday last week and Dean and I went to the beach for chips and ice cream. Our dog, Bonnie, can’t quite get her head around the concept of waves so she spent the whole visit, barking at the sea, presumably in an attempt to make it stop moving. She also has an issue with waterfalls but her strange ways make her even more wonderful and we love her to bits.

I said that I would start blogging regularly but then the summer happened and routine went out of the window. I also asked people to get in touch but I’m not very technical and I can’t work out how to access the comments!

I’ve teamed up with Pump Up Your Book, virtual book tours and my tour will be happening throughout August, which is very exciting, so I hope the various reviewers and bloggers will enjoy what they read. Progress on The Essence of Insanity has been very slow over the summer but I’m determined to get back on with it now that a new term has begun. My daughter, Tilly has just started high school and a lot of emotional energy has gone into that transition. So far, she is having a wonderful time and we couldn’t be more proud of her.

The summer was amazing. We had a week on a theme park in The Netherlands, went on camping trips to the coast and the mountains and generally laughed a lot and enjoyed spending time as a family. I will leave you with a picture of a crab we found in the rock pools on my birthday and promise to start blogging regularly from now on – for definite this time!!
